PDF Compressor
Two modes: lossless clean-up (text stays selectable, 5–20% smaller) or deep image compression (50–90% smaller, fully browser-based).
How it works
🔒 Lossless Mode
Strips hidden metadata (author, keywords, creator tags) and re-saves internal PDF streams with maximum compression. Images and text are completely unchanged. Expect 5–20% reduction on PDFs created by Word, Google Docs, or macOS apps.
🗜️ Deep Compress Mode
Uses PDF.js to render each page at your chosen DPI (180 DPI standard = 2.5× native resolution), encodes as JPEG, then builds a new PDF preserving the original page dimensions. At 180 DPI / 80% JPEG a 4 MB document typically becomes 400–900 KB. Text will not be selectable — this is how all browser-based tools achieve large reductions without a server.
